The Summer Research Studentships programme offers paid research opportunities to undergraduates. This is a great opportunity for students to 'learn and earn' during the summer break, with support from the RVC team.
Summer Studentships
Gaining experience in research and developing practical research skills can be invaluable for students. Thanks to the RVC Alumni Fund we've had another summer full of projects. Devoting a summer to research can be a difficult decision to make. Often students need to spend this time earning money to support them in their studies for the following academic year. Summer Research Studentships gives students a stipend as they study, alleviating financial concerns. Free from financial barriers, they can work alongside professional research scientists, learn new skills and gain an insight into research as a potential career.
Who is eligible?
Students from all courses are invited to apply and research subjects are diverse. This summer they ranged from movement and mechanics of arm reaching in tree frogs to studies of proteins in avian parasites.
These student experiences simply wouldn’t happen without the funding from our alumni community. Thank you.
