RVC4Life
Impact Report
21/22
How together, we help the next generation.
As an RVC graduate, you are part of our network of RVC alumni based all over the world. Donations to the RVC Alumni Fund, mean that together you positively impact the lives of students following in your footsteps.
The RVC Alumni Fund was created by the RVC Animal Care Trust to enable those who have studied at the RVC to support current students in all sorts of ways. For example, by helping those struggling financially, providing new educational opportunities and supporting student clubs and societies. Once an RVC student, always part of the RVC family, RVC4Life!
What we do
The RVC Alumni Fund supports many projects and initiatives across the RVC. It funds a range of scholarships and bursaries for areas such as:
- EMS+ Placements (these are work placements that our students attend to enhance their learning)
- Research Studentships
- Student Hardship Funds
- Student's Union Clubs and Societies.
And, it helps to fund vital equipment in the Clinical Skills Centre. This is where students can practise their skills before carrying out procedures on a live patient in a high pressure clinical setting. The friendly and relaxed environment enables students to gain confidence for clinical placements and practical assessments.
Our students are currently facing some of the toughest times we've seen in decades. By donating to the RVC Alumni Fund, you can help change lives. Opportunities that may be just out of reach can be grasped. Your future colleagues, be they veterinary nurses, vets, reseachers or scientists, tell us how supported they feel knowing that those already in the profession, in jobs they aspire to have, believe in them and want to support their progression.
In this report, you'll find inspirational stories about the impact the RVC Alumni Fund has made over the last 12 months. We'd like to thank everyone who has helped to provide this.
'One of the great opportunities as an alumnus is the ability to give back and help shape the future of the profession. Thank you'.
Heather Durkin, EMS+ Award recipient
You can make a one-off, monthly, quarterly or annual donation of any amount. So whether you have £1 to spare or would like to make a larger donation, you can make a difference to the next generation.
